Commitment to Social Equity: SC/ST Cell and SEDGs Initiatives

India’s socio-economic diversity presents significant challenges in ensuring equal access to education. Many marginalized groups—including Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs), Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), and gender minorities—face barriers in accessing quality education due to historical, social, and economic disadvantages.

SNGC has established a SC/ST Cell and is actively working to address the needs of Socio Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs). These initiatives are rooted in the principles of equity, empowerment, and inclusiveness.

Objectives of the SC/ST Cell and Initiatives

● Enhancing access to education through Bridge courses
● Improving campus inclusiveness by creating a healthy, safe, and secure learning environment
