Department of Languages established in the year1994.It offers Part I Languages Hindi, Tamil &Malayalam and also part time PhD programs in Tamil &Hindi.

Department of Languages organized a Guest Lecture on the topic ” Manitha Panpugal ” on 22/07/2025 for students of various streams. Puzhavar Pon. Poongodi, Tamil Pattimandra Pechalar, Coimbatore was the Resource Person. The Chief Guest emphasized the importance of human values which underlines Honesty, Kindness, Respect, Sharing, Responsibility and Helpfulness.
Department of Languages Organizes a Tamil Guest Lecture on ”MANIDHA PANBUGAL” on 22.07.2025 at 02.00 pm,
Resource Person : Pulavar Pon .Pongodi ,Tamil Pattimandra Pechalar, Coimbatore.

- In connection with International Mother Tongue Day Celebration , (21.02.2025) Department of Languages organized Poem Writing competition in Tamil, Malayalam & Hindi on 21.02.2025at 10.30 am Venue –BG3
- The Department of Languages organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Hindi Aur Rozgar Ki Sambhavanayem ” on 07.02.2025 for students of various streams. Dr.R.Ramesh Kumar Professor& Head, Department of other Languages,Hindustan College of Arts &Science Coimbatore acted as a resource person.
- The Department of Languages Pavendhar Tamil Illakiya Mandram has planned to organized a Guest Lecutre on the topic “Latchiya Padhai “ on 04.02.2025.Dr.G.Vasanthimala,Head,Department of Languages,P.S.G Arts and Science College,Coimbatore acted as a resource person .
- In celebration of Republic Day Celebration, the Department of Languages & Literary Club at Sree Narayana Guru College organized an Essay writing Competition on January 24, 2025. The program commenced at 11.00 am in room BG3.
- The Department of Languages organized a Guest Lecture on the topic Pathummayude Aadu—Basheerinte Sthree Kathapathra Nirmmanam on 09.10.2024 . Dr.Smitha.C.R., Head, Department of Languages, Nehru Arts and Science College Coimbatore, acted as a resource person.
