The Department of Mathematics, established in 1996 for undergraduate studies and expanded to post graduate studies in 2003, offers a range of academic programs catering to students interested in higher Mathematical studies and research.The Master of Science in Mathematics program provides an in-depth understanding of Mathematical theories and applications. The course focuses on advanced topics such as Algebra, Analysis, Topology, and Applied Mathematics. It prepares students for careers in academia, research, and industries requiring strong analytical skills.
The Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics is a rigorous research program aimed at contributing to the field of Mathematics through original research. Scholars engage in advanced theoretical or applied Mathematical studies under the guidance of experienced faculty members. This program prepares students for academic and research careers at prestigious Institutions and Industries.

- The Department of Mathematics organized a Seminar on “Mathematics – A Stepping Stone Towards Career” on 26th February 2025 at 10:00 AM. Resource Person: Dr. T. Babitha, Assistant Professor & Head of the Department of Mathematics at Government Arts and Science College, Mettupalayam.
- The Department of Mathematics organized the Interdepartmental Math Fest (Infinite 25) on January 24, 2025. The event commenced at 10:00 AM in Room BG2 and featured three exciting competitions: Sudoku, Dumb Charades, and Quiz.
- The Department of Mathematics organized a workshop on “Writing Tool for a Research Manuscript” on 30th August 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Digital Library. Resource Person: Ms. I. Priyanka, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.
